Well it says it might be shifted to SL, which is a member of the Asian Bloc, so that might be a little tricky :)
this is a big mess that should have been dealt with earlier, getting the confirmations or shifting.

When PCB itself is least bothered about the venue being shifted then why should other boards from the Asian bloc worry??
NZ, Australia has openly stated their safety concerns about travelling to Pakistan and ICC has given hints that the venue might be shifted. Here is my first question? Where *edit]* is a statement from PCB and where the hell is Nasim Ashraf? I agree the Pakistan has tried alot to convince ICC and other countries that they can host the trophy but why all of a sudden there is absolute silence when it really matters?
Here is my another question? When Pakistan is willing to offer top class security which is usually offered only to the foreign heads and still teams are not willing to tour Pakistan, then what does that show?
It's all ***** and ICC topi drama to fool us. I agree the security situation is not the best in Pakistan but then why ICC is including Pakistan as a venue in the FTP???????? When we all know the end result of all this topi drama then it is a waste of time, resources and money for everyone involved. Australia can conveniently cancel Pakistan tours and then tell us that they will be touring us next year to compensate for the loss. Looking at what just happened this week, it should be pretty evident that they won't be touring Pakisan next year as well.
*So my suggestion to ICC is stop all this drama which always starts from foreign boards nakhras, to Pakistan offering top level security and then ICC sending a team for site visit and then finally the visiting team board stating that they can't visit now but how about next time. *
The ground realities could be different in Pakistan but for foreign teams IF there is a security concern in Pakistan, then lets be honest that this concern is going to be there for the next few years as well, atleast. Therefore ICC need to grow some balls. Either remove Pakistan from FTP OR tell other boards to send there teams to Pakistan even that means sending a second string side. Once a second string side will be thrashed and they return back home safely and the team will lose few valuable points on the ICC ranking table, I am sure sanity will return.

The ICC should have resolved the matter a long time ago. Why were they delaying it so much. I understand that they were accessing the security situation in Pak, but who would return the expenses that Pakistan had to pay for all the preparations, security and maintenance up till now ?
Here is a test for the Pakistan board to see if they behave like a Tiger or like a fox. I wish Imran Khan was the head of the PCC, because we desperately need people like him in such situations.

so it has officially become another war between involving Asian bloc. BCCI has decided to back PCB once again along with Srilanka and BD (Zimbabwe is also reported to support the Asian bloc). However the difference is that this time there opposition is far stronger.
Usually in the past whenever it has come to a point of vote, Asian Bloc usually get the majority of votes of the ICC board. This time it will be difficult and I have a feeling that the end result will be ICC postponing the trophy. Lets wait and see...

I believe to pass something, you need a 7-3 majority vote which wont happen since BCCI is backing PCB and the other countries you mentioned, so venue wont be shifted. But the problem is playing the 2nd biggest competition in cricket without the best team in the world (and perhaps other top teams), TV guys will not be happy. Even if it does go though, I think more attention will be on the security vs the cricket.

last few days i have been thinking a lot about whats going on in out beloved country, which direction is it heading??? What is life for an average Pakistani, how messed up situation has gotten and now a year after PD expressed his opinion on KK i am understanding the point that he was making, which makes me think how selfish i would be if i am worrying about a stupid tournament being held in Pak or not, when an average Pakistani is struggling to make ends meet, there is no work, no hope for an average daily labourer (deharidaar tabqa) to put food on the table for his family.
i think we all should not worry about weather or not champion trophy happens in Pak or not but should prey for the conditions of the poor people and do whatever we can to help them
I do care that champion trophy should be in our country, but saddened how hypocrete these goray are.....they did not care when bombs was going all over in India, they did not care when there was july 7 bombing I remember they even saying we have to stand up to Terrorists, but now they all are coward and backing out.
Right now I feel like Pakistan should just stop touring to all those countries. I am sure some will say it wont bother anyone else whether they tour or not, but I think we have to have that stance. Damn it cricket, we don't need that cricket where we have to beg other countries to come to our country. spend so much money on arranging all these security systems, give them all those protocols, spend so much money on receiving them, providing them food, residence....What on earth these security experts come and look at? How on earth anyone can know when and where there is going to be bomb blast? No one knows........Don't care anymore for Cricket....our brother and sisters are dying...#we have a lot more to think than cricket...But it is sad that Pak spend so much money to arrnage this tournament and it would have give something back to the public but these morons are there to ruin it......I hate them!!!!!!!!!whoever talks bad about my motherland................................Pakistan Zindabad.

That should not stop cricket / sports tournament in a country otherwise there'd be no cricket in West Indies, Bengladesh, India, Zimbabwe etc. The problem is about "security" whether common man can go from place to another place, can he goto work in the morning and come back home safely in the night. I don't think the problem is so widespread in all cities (yet) to have everyone worry about their work/daily-life.

We are sitting far away and reading "50 people dead when returning from work", what we are not reading is 20million people made it back to home from work safely.
