No wonder Pak and India are nowhere near the top. It was after a long time I got to see Pak (or Ind) playing live (on Eurosport) and our finishing was miserable., the build up very slow and predictable. Only won because Sohail Abbas converted a penalty stroke.
Can't see us beating (or even drawing ) with Spain on Friday.
How the mighty have fallen.
Only good thing was the relatively large crowd at the stadium.
^Yar thing is Indians are largely to blame for the boring match because they didnt attack themselves and concentrated on defence mostly. Our finishing was abysmal, yes. But at least an open game could ahve made for a better spectacle.
Anyways, I watched the last moments of match in the stadium and it was great fun. A Large crowd and people praying for a pakistan win. It was refreshing to see so many people invovlved in our national sport. Maza aaya.
Lets hope our forwards wake up in the game against Spain and produce the required result that will take us to the finals.
I don’t buy your approach of blaming Indian defensive play. We had many chances and blew them (even I could have put a couple in the net!). It was up to us to open up their abysmal defence, and we couldn’t even do that properly.
But look at the goal difference with Spain........

if Pakistan wins, they will have 12 points, more than Spain. and since this will be the last league match for both teams, Pakistan will play in the final.
Yes Pakistan has to win and they will go through. Goal difference doesnt come into it as they paly each other, if Pakistan loses or draws Spain goes through.
We will prevail insha'allah. Only positive thing is that Spain did not send a full strength side in this champions trophy but they still are playing damn well.
