Guys,
So far in all fc series we have made it mandatory for users to select at least:
4 Batsmen
3 Bowlers
1 All Rounder
1 Wicket Keeper
While going through the lengthy process of adding 126 players in the database for ICC champions trophy, I noticed high ratio of All Rounder in each time.** What do you guys say if we reduce the number of Batsmen user has to select to 3 and bowlers to 2? This will allow us to pick more all-rounders if we want to and make the competition more interesting.

I think...there should be no restrictions at all...everyone should be free to choose anybody...though it could be 11 batsmen or 10 bowlers or any number of allrounders in an FC team in a given match...howzaaaaaaat... :)

DC not a bad idea. But how about the other idea of Zabardast:) . That will make the competition even more interesting.

I was wondering whether ICC asks a participating country to have so many bowlers...batsmen or allrounders...except the restriction to have 11 players...and a sub or super sub...
Of course...we have to consider also the programming possibilities...DC could give the best solution/ideas at this time...because the FC should flow flawless in this complex championship...

players restriction is kind of configurable and I dont anticipate any problems in having or not having any restrictions.
I'll wait one more day to get more feed backs and then go ahead and open the site!

Has any country ever played with just 11 recognised bowlers or batsmen, I don't think so. There is always a mixture of batsmen, bowlers and all rounders and the wicketkeeper so lets keep some sense of reality.

Count me in on the same boat. Although Zabardast Bhai do have a unique and valid point of making the league restriction-less and boundary-free to add more versatility and scalability, the first and above posts by 6Chora Jee hold the most logical and appropriate conclusion.
At least in my opinion.

I also remember we introduced the idea of two trump players just for ICCCT to allow more competitive environment considering the number of teams involved. How about that decent? I would combine Zabardast and DC's idea to make it at least 2 bowlers and batsmen

OK then here are the changes I am going ahead with
Restriction of 2 batsmen, 2 bowlers, 1 All Rounder and 1 keeper will remain in place. Remaining 5 players can be of your choice
I'll explore the idea of selecting 2 trump players. If its not too much work I'll implement that too.

Would participants bechoosing team for every match? Wow That will be very difficult as not everyone will get a chance to nominate their team before the match. If not, there wont be much of a contest.

They have to we have no other option. We can not copy the teams becasue 2 different teams are playing in each match.
Thats why I am trying to bring the site up as soon as possible so that ppl can select teams for at least the games where we know the playing teams. There are six round games where we dont know who is going to play yet.
