i'm sure they share the same views but unfortunately [for them n their fans/supporters] pak is in the top 8 of world ranking thus they are in CT. they could have withdrawn, leaving the spot for india [currently 9th i think] but then pak team thinks they are world beaters and there is no harm in trying. their opinion is similar to cricket team...as long as supporters are their to back them up, there is no harm in losing.

No if Pakistan did not participate, India would have not been invited. FIH espeically invited Pakistan to compensate for its loss of hosting the tournament in Lahore. There would have been only seven teams then.

This Pakistan team is simply incapable of playing in such a big tourne as CT as it even loses to lower level teams of China, Japan, Malaysia and Canada.

By the way, hockey has won far more luarels for Pakistan than those bloody cricketers can ever think of! 4 world cups, 3 olympic gold medals, many asian tiltles - so much so! But they were always neglected and were never rewarded properly. As a result all the talent shifted to cricket!

Koreans are new Asian Tiger in the World of Hockey, those days are now look like dream when Pakistan and India ruled the world of Hockey

No its not! It's quite attractive for its spectators. Hockey is considered a non-spectator sports in Europe.
But Pakistan hockey should have been paid more attention what it had got so far.

Is Pakistan to be blamed for or PHF Itself?
The execuses we had, while we were falling apart:
- ball has changed, heavier
- surface has changed
- game has become fast *]rules have changed I'm pretty sure you know more about this, then I do. But Isn't exactly this PHFs job? Have they been sleeping, while other countries progressed?

Yes mainly PHF is responsible. But the government and the general public is also responsible. They do not show the fervour for hockey as they do for cricket.
