Re: Champions League - 2004/5
They outsmarted Chelsea no doubt and previuosly ousted Juve as well.

Re: Champions League - 2004/5
Chelsea needs a finisher. Drogba is OK but he doesnt do justice to his 24m price tag. Today he missed sitter. They were also hampered by absence of Duff and Robben. They will be heartbroken because beating barcelona and Bayren was not a mean feat. Anyways next year.
But as Liverpool are through, I hope they win it so that they can play in CL next year instead of $hitty sides like Everton and Bolton.
Lets see if PSV can pull of a surprise tomorrow or not.
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
Way to go Liverpool!
One of the most tense nights of my life!![]()
Chlesea dominated possesion but it was Liverpool’s sheer passion and determination that won it. Anfield is a theatre of dreams and it was lived tonight.
Bring on Milan ![]()
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
^ Chelsea were quite jaded tonight. Probably hung over from thier title win in the match before. All in all, Chelsea had a fantastic season and of course you cant win everything. So Liverpool who are 33 pointes behind Chelsea in PL deserved to go through.
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
Brilliant game tonight. However i still think milan will be a tough ask for the reds. Had it been chelsea, i would have given them a chance, but liverpool....not happening.
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
PSV leading 1-0 after the first half
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
PSV 2 - Milan 0 ![]()
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
PSV are level om aggregate
Cocu scores. 25 minutes to go. I hope Milan is knocked out. I like them, great team but they win too many things. LoL
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
wat a match! 3-1
Milan go through on the away-goal rule
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
PSV beat Milan 3 - 1 but Milan are through on away goal. Milan didnt deserve to go through AT ALL, after the horrible display tonight
Over the course of two legs. PSV outplayed Milan in three halfs where Milan only dominated one half of first leg.
My heart goes out to PSV for a magnificant performance :k:
it is going to be a Liverpool-Milan final on may 25th.
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
it's a real pity PSV lost, cuz this shud have been a final.
Look at Liverpool - Milan, I'm afraid we might see a Liverpool-Chelsea first leg like match though
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
^ I anticipate a Liverpool-Juve first leg like final :p
But yeh PSV, Liverpool would have made for a greater spectacle.
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
the away goal rule is to blame. PSV deserved to win.
What a heartbreak for PSV - they actually put 3 past a Milan line that had not conceaded a single goal against Inter and ManU. They were clearly the better team today, but Milan did what they had to do to win. Guus Hiddink to me is one of the best coaches in the world, after leading South Korea to the semifinals, he led PSV to the semifinals after losing Robben and Kezman.
Hail to PSV and their great CL run.
Should be an interesting Final in Istanbul. Liverpool should enter as underdogs, but if Milan play the same as tonight, then who knows...
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
ac milan will probably be recrowned the champs of europe i can't see the scoucers troubling them much. 2 much class in the milan side. dat's why i feel chelsea wuld have had a better chance at beating ac. hmm let's see...
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
3 D resconstructions have shown that the Liverpool goal was a wrong call by the refs. The ball did NOT cross the line and as such cannot be given as goal.
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
^ yes the goal did look dodgy but ref's decison is final and wat a bad 1 it was, but dat's footie for u

Re: Champions League - 2004/5
Alan Shearer is a class act. his career speaks for itself. one of the best english centre-forwards england has produced for the last 20 years or so. he has won praises from top footie personalities ranging from top coces and ex gr8 players world-wide. ppl like the gr8 johan cruyff etc wat u or some 1 else says about him makes no difference.
and for ur information, our fans created that song for the mackams, stop feeding us our own medicine. come to think of it, sir alex has had a pathetic season 2, considering the 'quality' in ur line up compared to ours. i sense another heart attack coming up for him.
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
