Making batting adjustments not a problem : Yuvraj

Having regained a berth in the Indian Test team for the series against Pakistan, Yuvraj Singh today expressed confidence that he was fully equipped to make the necessary adjustments for batting at different positions. “My batting slot for each match depends on the team management. They tell us a day before where we are batting. That’s fine,” he said.
He was speaking to the media after a long practice stint lasting more than three hours with his teammates on a very sunny and clear day at Faisalabad. The talented middle-order batsman, who did not get an opportunity to bat on a featherbed track in the Lahore Test, said he was not disappointed. “I was looking forward to batting on that wicket. But I am not disappointed as the team performance was very good.”
He said the entire Indian squad shared the deep disappointment of Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag missing out on the world opening partnership record. "It was an amazing performance by Rahul and Sehwag. For them to go and score 410 runs after Pakistan made 679 was fantastic. It was a treat to watch. At one end Sehwag was going for runs while at the other end, Rahul was playing tough.
“They were very close [to breaking the record]. We were all looking forward to a boundary or four runs, but all the things cannot happen in one match. It was unfortunate [it did not happen],” said Yuvraj.
He admitted to setting targets for himself before each series, but preferred not to divulge them. He rated the Pakistan attack, led by Shoaib Akhtar, quite highly despite their not being able to take more than one wicket in India’s innings in the drawn Lahore Test. “Pakistan’s attack is one of the best in the world. Shoaib [Akhtar] and Danish [Kaneria] are their main bowlers.”
Asked about Sehwag finally breaking free of his run of modest scores, Yuvraj said, “It was amazing to see him back in his usual form. A few innings he was getting out in the 30s and 40s. I think he had it in his mind to get out of the 30s. After that he just took it over in his own way”.
On Pakistan’s endless anxieties about Sehwag, Yuvraj said: “Obviously his record says how many runs he’s scored against Pakistan. Look at his average. It’s obvious they will be thinking about it.”

Who cares what Yuvi says? The only thing worth noting in the article is "very bright and clear day in Faisalabad". But weather apart, Faisalabad is still Faisalabad, and we may yet see another high-scoring draw.

Thanks Yuvi for inflating the attack. Personally I don't find our 'bowling attack' as one of the best, may be because I think there is big room of improvement. The only bowlers we have in Test are Shoaib and Danish (current squad). Rana was learning but for some reason he hasn't learnt enough yet on Test level, everyone knows about Sami (the less said the better). We really really need two more medium-fast seamers in the team to make it a 'good bowling attack.
and BTW, thanks FnB for a 'consolation' (right word?).

abay tu dhobi ha, dhobi bun, politician na bun..dhobie kay haath may kapray dhonay walla danda hee achha lagta ha.....ussiee danday say inn "lalon" kee patai kar....ghandi jee na bun....

The problem is that he said all those things that after he blasts a huge score in coming tests, he can say look I spanked 'one of the best' bowling attacks in the world. Hypothetically!
