Athens airlines? Where the hell do you guys get these arilines? Whatever happened to Delta, American, BA, AF, Swiss, KLM, Cathay, Singa etc...
I only suggested Athens cause I know somebody who is flying on that ... cause they couldn't get a ticket anywhere else.
I would stick to BA if I were you Funguy.

My mother recently went via Continental Airlines to Dubai where she took Emirates to Islamabad; she booked the ticket a day before actually going...it was $1390...not too bad
And also my aunt just booked a ticket from PIA a week ago..her flight's next week

my suggestion.. change your agent.. there is absolutely no way there are no seats a week after Eid.. i’ve flown Eid day and the day after Eid and received the tickets around 10:00a.m the afternoon i planned to fly.. so last minute deals are definitely an option.
Keep your ports of departure flexible.. fly out of NY or Houston if you have to..
I’d just postpone the trip till i got a seat.. unless you’re off for some.. pappan paan pa paaaan… :bhangra:
It doesn't matter if it's a week after Eid. It is the winter vacations and wedding season in Pakistan that is causing difficulty. I think he is SOL...**** out of luck.
This is unbelievable. My travel agent hung up on me. Can you believe that?.
I called him earlier in the day and after a 10 minute wait in which the desun assistant kept coming every two minutes and mumbling something in incomprehensible English. I believe she was talking faster than she was thinking. So the guy who has the fking green Unix computer comes on the phone. Asks for my last name for the tenth time in three weeks. WHich is Ok considering he is always busy. Pulls up my reservation and asks me why am I calling?.
I told him about the reservation request I made a month ago and have been following up on a weekly basis. He ignores my explanation and asks why havent I called earlier??? Fuc you.
Earlier??? I called you a month ago and gave u all the details, name, dates I wana travel… even back-up dates to be flexible. I told him, with all that info and keeping in mind its peak season for you, I thought you would call me once a seat becomes avaailable and ask me for my credit card info. You never called so I am calling to see what has happened.
He ignores it again and tells me that this time of the year people reserve months in advance. 
He then tells me he has another call from India on the other line and for me to call him back later.
WHy do desi travel agents have the monopoly of selling discounted fares to Pakistan?

Well i think it was stupid of him to tell me someone from overseas was calling him. It means he fked up their travel plans and now they HAD to call him during their journey.
