Where (or at what store) can I find a chalk board??
Re: Chalk Board
You can find it at Office Depot or Staples or any other stationary store.
Re: Chalk Board
The ones they had were too small, even not as big as the white boards they had.
Re: Chalk Board
Mr AJ
if you havent found anything suitable you can buy tins of blackboard paint in DIY stores .. and paint bits of walls or piece of wood to your own specification
Re: Chalk Board
a-jee, i have one from ikea, but it isnt big either. what do you plan to use it for?
Re: Chalk Board
We got one at our home. I am not sure where we got it from, but probably from a standard place like Target or Walmart. Its small, about 3'x2', hangs from a wall, and only used for my kids to practice hand writing. Apparently the writing angle by holding a small piece of chalk and writing on a board is good to develop finger muscles and proper writing stance. If you are looking for a smaller size board, you can probably get it easily from a departmental store. If you are looking for a big one, then check from the purchasing department of your local university/college and find out where they get theirs.
Re: Chalk Board
I plan to use it as a tool for group study we plan to do in my house's basement. Also for teaching neighborhood desi kids Urdu.
My idea is to get a 7 foot high and 4 foot wide or close enough chalk board, without the wood or metal borders, so I can plaster it right on the wall from ground up. That way Misbah can do her scribbles while I can do my work up high. Most stores sell smaller chalk boards and they all have heavy metal/wood sidings. And I suspect that the high price if for all the extra material on it.
Re: Chalk Board
Go on office depot website, type chalk board and they will give you all the ones they have. Office depot has a 4’x6’, it is $99.00 and with tax comes out to be $106.00. The delivery is free.
