"Chaiyya Chaiyya" song in "Inside Man.

The film “Inside Man” by Spike Lee (Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster) is hip enough to open with Bollywood Hindi film song “Chaiyya Chaiyya,” one of the biggest Bollywood hits last year from the movie Dil Se by Mani Ratnam (Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta) , then close with the same song remixed with rap. Very cool.

That's a really old movie and didn't feature Preity Zinta. The heroine was Manisha.

It featured both Preity and Manisha…and the film was released in 1998 I am not mistaken.

I am going to watch “Inside Man.” I’ve never missed Denzel, Tom Crusie and Naomi Watts’ movie.

chaiyya chaiyya was b@sterdization of poetry of our great sufi poet Bhuley Shah... it was derived from his work "Thaiyya Thaiyya". Bollywood later came up with another version that had the word "Thaiyya Thaiyya" substituted for the word "Chaiyya.. chaiyya"

gammay, baba bulley shah's thaiyya thaiyya has been used and abused by several singers, but chaiyya chaiyya isnt derived from that piece. the words are not even close(bulley shah wouldnt write such crap). the only similarity is the chaiyya-thaiyya thang.
