Breakfast-lunch-dinner is British aristocratic food habit, in our place, farmer used to wake up at four, go to field and return by 1200 and had lunch and then went to chaupal and passed there time and came back to eat at 1800 and slept by 1900 hrs for the next day, probably there was no concept of breakfast

but India was not inhibited by farmers only. There were Pundas as well, who were rakhwalas of language
