if nashta is farsi, then what is Hindi for breakfast? :hmmm:

From aao bhagat, I can see why they say mehmaan Baghwaan hota hai… This kind of treatment seems to be given to bhagat (priests / brahmin) in old days.

Breakfast-lunch-dinner is British aristocratic food habit, in our place, farmer used to wake up at four, go to field and return by 1200 and had lunch and then went to chaupal and passed there time and came back to eat at 1800 and slept by 1900 hrs for the next day, probably there was no concept of breakfast

but India was not inhibited by farmers only. There were Pundas as well, who were rakhwalas of language :D

There day starts before sunrise, they worship sun, followed by average 3 hours prayer (like my saas does) and bore the god to extreme, by that time, farmer returns, and their are astrological prediction time, which might run for six hours, making money and then go to sleep at 1900 hrs.

bhai ab to yeh sab raa'ij hai:

at home [brunch] = 'asraana
dinner = 'ishaaiyah
breakfast = naashta
lunch =** zohraana**
midnight snack = maaHzar-e-neem_shabii
midday brunch =** maaHzar-e-nisf-un-nihaar**

maaHzar = light snack / light refreshmant

naashta is a Persian word.

But they also offer bojhan to gods in morning ( Imean parsad is served in mornings). Baghwaan ki aao baghat :hmmm:

there are sixteen sanskar in hinduism from janamsanskar to Daahsanskar, begining to end, so these were also money making things, every other person was in one of these 16 sanskars anyway.
