chahat

There is a song by Pakistani singer ‘Jawad Ahmed’ in urdu.

In the begining he explicitly says that : *“the passage, that follows, is not directly from any of the holy scriptures…” *

***Aye Ibn-e-Adam !
ek teri chahat hai…
our ek " Meri " chahat hai !
par hoga wohi ju " Meri " chahat hai
Pas ! agar tu ne apney aap ko sapurd kar dya
uskey, ju meri chahat hai,
tu main bakhsh doonga tujhku wo bhi
ju teri chahat hai
Our agar tu ne nafarmani ki uski , ju meri chahat hai
tu main thaka doonga tujh ku us main ju teri chahat hai

Phir ho ga wohi, ju meri chahat hai ***
(if you can’t understand, please say so, I will try to translate  )

Now, some time ago, I saw that same passage attributed to some holy scripture…
There was no reference. So I want to know if anyone has seen anythign similar somewhere ?

Re: chahat

It is in quran .....i dont remeber the exact verse...but the idea is from quran...and the wordings are that of moulana tariq jameel..he uses this in his bayans

Re: chahat

my friend ibn sadique sent this verse to me once:
If Allah findeth any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you, and He will forgive you for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. (8:70)
your passage seems similar to this.. tho not exactly

Re: chahat

^^ the verse i am referring to is very much the same as passage given......

Re: chahat

^ Nop. its not same

do you know where ? Actually where i saw, it was stated that it is elaboration of Hadees-e-Qudsi !

Re: chahat

its not a matter of what he says explicitly or implicitly, he shud have thought better than trying to put words in the mouth of Allah…

Quran 2:79
*Therefore woe be unto those who write the Scripture with their hands and then say, “This is from Allah,” that they may purchase a small gain therewith. Woe unto them for that their hands have written, and woe unto them for that they earn thereby. *

here is see too many things fitting to the above passage…
words falsely attributed to Allah…
for a small gain (what else did he want to achieve other than profit by selling the song)…

or maybe i am just pushing it a bit too far…
:bummer:

Re: chahat

^ Will you apply the same on Allama Iqbal ? Shikwa / Jaawab-e shikwa ?

Well many people actually did in those days !

Re: chahat

my fault....i thought it was in quran...jub kay ye aik hadees qudsi hay.....maazarat

Re: chahat
