I opened a thread about socks in life1 and was chased out by those who want to keep the place for saas bahu issues, I hope I will not be chased out of here..
okay..so what is the right frequency to toss out chaddis and banyans?
is it usage based, material based?
i mean i suppose ladies special ones probably have a lionger lifecycle
but I am talking regular dude’s banyans and chaddis
do material, style and color have an impact..
what are the signs that an item needs to be retired..
please share your views
could be wife beaters, vnecks, crenecks, ribbed, mercerized,
boxers, briefs, whatever
On a more serious note......I think material would be a determining factor. Is it starting fray...become worn out....or maybe the elastic isn't resilient? Toss it out then.
With many clothes....not just undergarments........visible sweat stains (that aren't coming out)....toss em.
When they have holes in them and you will be embarrassed to take off your shirt or trouser in public when the need arises.
Hey don’t get offended, when I am working outdoors , I start with full sleeve shirt with banyan under it , and when the sun rises and I start sweating I take my shirt off. I never take my pant off in public view , but what if a bug/bee/yellowjacket climbs up your pant what will you do ?

.
color too. If its white then you can be sure that you gonna toss it out sooner than a black undie of same material.
rv- these are philosophical questions meant to guide generation after generation of people searching for answers online..please dont be so myopic :)
