I’m spending my chand raat at my favorite place i.e the kitchen 
I’m making kheer so that it’s ready to be attacked after Eid namaz by the guys and baking a chocolate cake for the kiddo team.

anyways, chaand raat literally translates to “moon night”. it’s the day before eid, and it’s like a big deal for girls because they get super prepped for the next day, ie, do their hair, put on mehndi, paint their nails, line up their outfits for the next day. some even go out that night, buy their chooriyan and get their mehndi done, buy their eid cards etc etc
