Army is the arbitrator of power in the country. When you have an impasse where two parties wants to remove a government through extra constitutional means using street protest then Army has to get involved whether it wants to or not.

Earlier LHC asked Nawas League to lift the blockade of Punjab province, remove the containers and let people go wherever they want.
Did Nawas League followed the orders or they have maintained illegal, tyrannical blockade of their beloved province?

I can't believe people are getting their panties in a wand by this perfectly constitutionally allowed protest, yet don't have the single word to condemn PMLN's civil dictatorship enough top put Sharif brother's Godfather Zia to shame. This is the pseudo-democracy they go all goo goo ga ga about?

When Pakistanis want to gather in their own capital to protest over rigging, it's undemocratic, unacceptable and unforgivable. Bloody hypocrites. Want to cash all the democratic liberties of Western societies, but want their own countries to out up with every form of tyrannical restrictions and state suppression because that's how things ought to work over there.

Was the PPP more competent in the last 5 years of its rule? Is Imran Khan more competent in KP now?
Democracy needs to take root, handing to army is no solution, however we all should know the effectiveness of the police, I recall there was mob rule for a few days when BB died. Army needs to have plans to deal with any eventuality.

This maybe was the last chance for the supremacy of civilian rule. If Nawaz and his allies had stood-fast and didn't accept the establishment's demands, it would have broken the back of the establishment forever.
