Bush in his meeting with General Musharraf on 4 Dec. He says major powers are now willing to work with him in the international arena. I was working in Pakistan’s one of the biggest government industrial unit. This unit had business transactions with another big government industrial unit. We were manufacturing for the other unit. Some seniors in this other unit had interest in procuring their supplies from private market rather than from a government unit. Hence they always tried one way or the other make objections from purchasing from us. A middle level executive in that other unit who was in fact a main figure having business secrets of that other unit namely cost break ups, financial position, other sources from where supplies are got etc was allured to depart such information. He was promised a much salaried position in our unit. The greedy officer resigned from his unit, joined us in a more upper grade. Early two or three months he was given so much attention in our unit as if he was a hero and most important person of the unit. He was called even in higher executives meetings. After three months when the maximum was got from him, the top started completely ignoring him. See this lower staff also did the same. All of sudden he was an “achoot” in the unit. In a higher level meeting the Managing Director stated he was not faithful to his own organisation, how can be he to our’s, tomorrow he would sell him himself to another organisation. Today in our new would-be-written history Quaide Azam, Allama Iqbal, Dr. Qadeer, Mughals etc all were Badmash. There is only a very little hitch remaining terming George Bush the Mehdi if not Nauoz Billah a Nabi. Hence a word from George Bush for our leaders is more worthy today for a section of our enlightened leaders than words of ALLAH THE GREAT.
