Centerpieces- toronto wedding

Hello!

I wanted to plan out centerpieces for my friends wedding but we are clueless at figuring out what a good budget is. How much do florists charge

or should we just go through a decorator? any suggestions??

Re: Centerpieces- toronto wedding

My friend and I planned my centerpieces ourselves. I was on a budget with centerpieces and really did not wanna spend a lot on flowers, neither did fiance or I want grand centerpieces. We wanted something simple but pretty. Do you have an idea of what you want - flowers or something without flowers?

I personally found decorators to be a little expensive - as in, over $30 per table. And we had 45 tables. So that was a definite no for me. I ended up having my centerpieces for close to $10 per table doing it on my own. I’m not big about huge pretty flowers - therefore I chose to work with Baby Breaths. They are really cheap - around $2-3 per stem…and the way we worked our centerpieces - we could easily make 3 vases out of one stem. That’s how we saved a ton on flowers. Because typically flowers will cost you tons.

Anyway, here is what my centerpieces were similar to - the vase was a little smaller, and I didn’t have floating candles. Didn’t need one, as the vase wasn’t as tall, and we also had LED lights at the bottom. Inspiration Centerpieces « Weddingbee Gallery

We just had the vase on a mirror. Ordered LED lights online, they’re really cheap. We had purple ones for reserved tables and white for the rest. You can also use different flowers instead of baby breath, but I personally thought baby breath looked really pretty submerged in water.

Anyway, good luck planning!

Re: Centerpieces- toronto wedding

depends on the kind of centerpiece you want. how big will it be, do you want fresh flowers or fake, how many flowers do you want, what kind of flowers do you want, do you want candles only, etc.

most decorators and florists will probably start around $30-$40 per centerpiece if you want fresh flowers.
