I agree with zulaykha above. The idea of a camera in a cellphone (cell-cam), at this point, is to capture that impromptu Kodak moment, which you'd like to share with friends/family later on. The current technology is only good for thumbnails anyway, so its more for fun, than for serious photography. So, its not a fair to compare the cell-cam results against dedicated digital cameras. Maybe, in a few years, when the technology improves a lot, then, you can take good quality pics from cell-cams. Right now, its more a novelty and fun. :)
depends on wat phone u get..and i think quality gets worse with time..i uploaded couple pics for u taken at diff times :p but i totally love it!!! theres nothing like takin pics of ur friends with food stuck in their teeths n then passin em around :p n stuff like that..

My manager had a problem with his keyboard or was it the mouse and so he got on his knees and hands under the table trying to fix the keyboard or the mouse cable....
There i was at the right moment at the right time and had my nokia 7650... just could not resist sharing the pic with other colleagues ...

Yaar DS, there's always something better around the corner. If one was to wait then one would be totally without gadgets.
I guess it all comes down to affordability. When I got my camera phone it cost me $0, as I signed up for a year with T-Mobile and got a rebate to cover my initial expense. So why shouldn't I have gotten it! Plus it has BlueTooth technology to boot.
