There’s all this talk about the link between cell phones and brain tumors. What’s the verdict?

Did some US states ban the use of cell phones while driving (with the theory that it increases brain tumors)? Is this law still in-place/upheld in those states?
What would life be without cell phones...Brain tumor, sheesh. Forget about it.

the ban was not due to tumors but because of distraction and it can cause accidents.
as far as cellphones go, i believe I wrote here in 2003 that there were issues thatthe industry was trying to skirt, the SAR ratings were hiddenand buried in back pages of their literature to comply with requirments of having that info available. the SAR ratings approach is different in US and Europe and some of it is pretty ridiculous because the radiation level is diluted by looking at it across a larger body mass, which misses teh fact of the radiation impact on the place closest to the device itself. i mean whats the use of looking at avg radiation which includes my left shoulder for example if the phone is on my right ear.
There is a strong lobby that has opposed even precautionary approach for safer usage like using
people worry about microwaves or living next to cellular towers or power cables..each of which has less of an impact on you than a cell phone.
expect more on this topic in coming years, this has been somewhat of 10 year old experiment with a lot of specimen, as usage increases and kids usage increases u will see more issues.
