I wonder how come peoples forget to turn off or to keep their cell-phones on silent when they are in masjid Even simple ring tone can divert our attention. Although peoples never 4get to leave it on table or in car or at any other place whenever they are about to enter in toilet. At entrance of masjid, there is always a sign placed or written ‘switch off’ your cell phone but at entrance of toilet 'no.
I used to be guilty of that , we have multiple signs but I would not register those signs Now I put my phone to vibrate mode before I sit in my car to drive to masjid. This has been working very well. Our imam always asks people to turn cell phones off before he starts the namaz.
I even never liked any tone (by default are in cell phone) and my phone on vibration 24/7. sometime i miss some important calls but never caused disturbance in masjid.
Whats worse is when someone phone rings during jamaat, and they simply take the phone and press the 'call reject' button, just to have the caller ring back 5 seconds later. Why not put it on silent instead?
I know its not the same thing but theres this woman in my class who lets her phone ring and ring and ring and then she actually answers it.. IN CLASS while the instructor is talking . and the instructor doesn't even say anything..it annoys me so much.
