YOU have asked a question…which I posed on WAHEED MURAD when I met him on location at Cecil Hotel, Murree (shooting his platinum jubilee movie “ARMAAN”) in 1963…with Zeba, Rozina and Nirala.
THE ANSWER (WAHEED GAVE);
Its perfectly normal for anyone–who is a movie diehard or a TV buff.. to get excited when he or she sees the show_biz personality walk past by or at some function or while traveling in aircraft etc. It is due to certain affection based on the thoughts the ‘fan’ has acquired by watching his or her…hero or heroine or even a villian or comediene perform on silver screen or on tube.
Its that feeling of belonging and proximity which the ‘fan’ or ‘viewer’ conceives in his or her own wonderful world where he or she is free from bindings, commitments or daily chores.

Anything that is not eaisly reachable, accessaible is bound to create excitement in a perfectly normal person (which i think you are not :p). But its fine as long as it stays till that and doesnt get weird n creepy. Personally, i get really excited seeing a celebrity only if its salman khan or say 2-3 others celebs and thats all. I may like some other celebs too but they dont matter as much though it would be exciting meeting them too but i wouldnt do any hardwork for it :D. So far in my life i have only done some real hardwork in this respect for meeting Salman and i am so glad my hardwork did pay off.
Another thing, i personally like about meeting celebs or even non celebs (people from different fields esp related to arts), is knowing about their work, their aspirations, life journey, experiences…it all interests me. And all this is much more than being excited for their fame though one day i would like to be famous too :biggthumb.
And ya it reminds me of watching some crazy fans video meeting Salman…lol now some of them were guys and old aunties and they were like kissing him on his cheeks, feelin his muscles (lol), etc…so i was wondering what must those celebs be going through at this time?. I am sure it must be really hard for them though they must be enjoying the adulation but fans at times do cross their limits :(.

It's not everyday you get to meet/see a celeb so i think its the novelty of the whole situation that makes it exciting.

I know right… In every Guppy meet, people were over excited to see me let alone the thoughts of meeting me even before the meet

Story: This other day I was listening to radio..and this girl was fasting..a muslim girl..and it was the 25th..and she was so proud to tell everyone tht she was fasting because of shahid kapoor..it was for his birthday..it was not even the actual birthday-day..however it was the same date meaning 25th..

Then Am I mad or what? because I really dnt get excited no matter which celebrity I see, couple of months back when Salman was here in London for his film shooting my cousin called me from the place he was shooting at and told me to come down and I was like are you crazy? why should I travel for an hour just to meet him 
even though Salman is one of those bollywood celeb who I like the best
