Pics you posted were not taken in Pakistan, were not meant for Pakistani audience and were not on Pakistani media in 80s (when these pics were taken).
Secondly, I am not criticizing them, they can roam around half-naked if they want to but all I am saying that its hard for an average Pakistani to related to them in these outfits/sets and on top of all this glitter they talk about “how they are doing these shows for average Pakistani”
Just take a look at old PTV dramas/awards etc to realize what I am saying.

Naeem Bokhari’s reaction very aptly represents the hypocritical attitude of a large majority of our desi culture. His own daughter Kiran Bokhari used to regularly feature in GT/Sunday/ Libas magazines of Pakistan in much skimpier outfits years before such outfits started airing on TV. I am sure he wouldn’t be too pleased if someone made a similar remark about her.
