have you noticed … when celebrities play in game shows in North America… they NEVER play for themselves, its always for a charity.
But when celebrities play in game shows in India and Pakistan, they always take the winnings or part of the winnings… I was just watching Deal ya No Deal yesterday and they had actors on.. the couple from Larki Anjani Si… they were going to split the proceeds 3 ways… 1 third for each of them and then 1 third for a charity…!!! They’r actors..!!! they make enough money… why not donate ALL of it to charity… they need it more than the actors do…
Celebrities in India and Paskistan are not paid the same amount of money as teh Celebritries in North America. Plus I know many celebrities who do a lot of Charity work.. anyway they are Celebrities , not (as Sharon Osbourne once put it) mother f----n Teressa.
its not a comparison of who makes more or how much charity work you do .... for India/Pakistan's standard of living, they are definetly "upper" class - so technically they don't need the money or the prizes. North American celebrities use game shows as a way to bring awareness to a cause.... granted that pak/indo celebrities do allot of charity work too... in game shows its not the same story
Abdul Sittar Edhi used to say, only donate me a Re. 1 per person by each pakistani per month and I'll be able to run my charity for pakistanis. BTW, he runs the biggest charity Ambulance service in the whole world.
You put ur share in it too. Doesn't matter who pays what. Re.1 would do the trick.
