You keep bringing up TV/VCR time and again. Remember, watching TV/VCR is not "RELIGIOUS" activity. And also, this does not nevessarily involve more people. You can watch TV/VCR alone, imagine conducting a "Mehfil-e-Milad" doing alone? :)

If you really want to regard something as "Bidaa" it has to do something with praising/praying to Allah swt (or some "religious" activity), on the basis of which you think you will "get some reward".

Agreeed I along with my brothers, think and believe that we will get reward.
Just why do u think angels send Darud on our prophet ?
Why do you think Allah gave our prophet the saadat of Miraj ?

Think about it Changez_like. Yaar, attending such a gathering is totally up to you. We are still all muslims and brothers. Let such issues not be cause for fighting and too much unneccessary discussion.
