The company that I work for makes a sincere effort to recognize and accommodate my needs as a Muslim including providing halal options when we are having a company event.
I think it would be cool for the 10 or 12 muslim employees to give back to the organization on Eid. But how? (There are around 100 people in this branch.)
What would you do?

I would lecture them on how they are all sinners, that they should repent and come join the Force. What? I am a Jedi master and this is the way after Luke and his kin messed things up.

And seriously best thing is organize a office picnic. Weather is still good even for Canada. Do it on a weekend. You guys pitch in and get the food catered.

Depending on how much you guys are willing to spend, we were around 6/7 Muslims in US and total employees were around 35-40. We used to contribute around 25$ (each muslim employee) and order Pizza for everyone and bring in Desi Methiee (2 piece for each packed in small individual boxes) on next day of Eid.
Here in Toronto, I am the only Muslim employee in office (this is corporate office with around 15/17 employees) and i just bring in Methiee and Samosey and Pakooray for everyone on next day after Eid. They LOVE it!

D6C......good idea. I think we should be able to do something along the lines that you have suggested. Let me send out a feeler email and see how the group responds.
CM......your contributions are always delightful and reflective of how tolerant and accommodating the Muslim community is. We just had the company picnic on Friday last week so I think it might be difficult to put another together.....plus the corporate types might not like us to encourage an afternoon off.

i m the only muslim emplyee in my company too.;.. i just take the day off for eid :-$ ... this time i will bring some mitahi etc for everybody :-)

Bring in foods and sweets as others suggested. That's always appreciated and it makes sense for Eid.
Last year on Eid one of my colleagues brought me a big basket of healthy foods! It was such a surprise and very sweet. :D

What do you do in a corporate office which has thousands of employees and only three Muslims ?
The best I can do it talk to my other Muslim colleagues and put some methai and snacks in the break area. We have a huge cafeteria, any kind of setup there would be impossible to manage.
I do not want to send email invitation to some and not to others . We will just set it there and let anybody and everybody have whatever they want and let them know that this is being sponsored in celebration of Eid by us three.
Good idea ?

Muzna, Do you work directly with the 100 or so people. If not just bring in sweets/snacks for your colleagues to enjoy the day after Eid. Since I work with Chocolate lovers, I usually bring in a nice chocolate cake the next day.
I may do something savory this year as well, I like the idea of samosas though.

I do work directly with the vast majority of them, yes Afro-Sheen. And if I am not directly working with them then I am definitely very visible within the organization.
Plus each department has a member or two that are Muslim so we will do something collectively on the work day that immediately follows Eid iA.
