Cedar Point - Worlds Best Amusement Park

For 5 or 6 straight years this theme park has held the title of being the best amusement park in the world… I went there two days ago, and I must say, it was really awesome!!! Ive been to other theme parks in the US (and other countries), but nothing beats this place! It has the record of having the most rides (above 70) and 16 roller coasters, and these arent your ordinary rollercoasters!!!

This year, it was the debut of the ‘Top Thrill Dragster’, the first one to break the 420 feet barrier, and that too in top style at 120MPH!!! It goes up straight vertically, and then comes down at 90degrees as well, straight down, and gives you the thrill of your life time!!! As I first entered the park, I saw it, and was totally perplexed by the sight of that towering ride! Everyone entering would be staring at the ride with shock, and after it would complete its run, people would just start clapping!!! Check out the site below, especially the video clip of the ride itself. They spent 25 million dollars making this thing, and it represents the pinnacle of american mechanical/construction engineering. Cedar Point has a rep of making rides that surpass worldwide records, and they did it again this year!

Other impressive rides were the wicket twisters, magnum (>200feet), mellinium force (>300feet), mantice and raptor! It was also fun hanging out in the park, there were very long queues and waits even on the weekday, but the people there were very nice and funloving, you dont find such people in places like europe. It was awfully hot, but then again the park management has done a great job by providing people with ice, water, fans with water nozzles etc everywhere. I was shocked to hear that there are always 5000 people working at the park at a time, as its so busy there. Most of the employees on the rides are college students, and I must commend them for providing such good service. A friend of lost his keys during the dragster ride, but they helped him find it after the ride was closed at night.

So if you guys get a chance to goto Ohio, dont forget to goto Cedar Point, believe me, its not something you should miss!!!

Been there and as far as a coaster parks go nothing else compares.

Yep, you will have fun, just a word of advice, try to go on a weekday if possible. There was a 3 hour wait on the Dragster on weekdays, so imagine what it would be like on the weekend. Or you could wait until the high schools open up again, and the kids are back to school, so there will be lesser people there.

Cedar Point ROCKS!

I make sure to make it a mission to visit that place everytime I'm down in that region. Sanduski (I think that's how you spell it), Ohio is where it's at.

When I was younger I was a bigger rollercoster fan, now well.. I just love to check them out on the bottom. My favorite of all time has to be the Raptor.. just too crazy. I saw that ride your talking about Spock.. scared me by just looking at it. I was there on Monday, so the rush wasn't as big as a Saturday afternoon.

Btw, what's that rollercoster's name in that building. Something like SC200.. it's that space travel thing.

Spok, thanks for sharing. top thrill dragster looks amazing. I want to go there now.....park looks great.
