I am preparing for the CCNA exam, which I am going to take in the next three weeks. I am halfway done with the training. I am using Sybex CCNA study guide and Trainsignal training videos to prepare. I have access to routers and switches simulators (CLI) at school, but I would like to know what kind of simulation questions I should expect to see on the exam. Are they really basic troubleshooting questions? or should I expect longer configuration questions?
I know a lot of people fail it on their first attempt, but I don’t want to be one of them. I would like to pass it on my first try. If there are any CCNAs out there, can you suggest some links to CCNA exam questions including the sim. ones?
Thanks
Re: CCNA 640-802 Exam
I gave my ccna in 2001, passed and then it expired! Now, studying for it again and using nothing but video training (train signal) and Todd Lammle's book (for theory).
Do have 20+ switches and routers at home but I don't think I would need to setup such a huge lab.
I would be careful downloading from the link that prelude posted, many of these test kings and brain dumps are useless and also their .exe files may contain viruses, trojan horses and spyware. So, spend few hundred bucks and go legal.
Re: CCNA 640-802 Exam
^ I find TrainSignal videos to be very helpful. I am actually quite surprised to find someone who is using the same material as I am. I guess that says I am on the right path..
I don't believe in braindumps either and I have heard that they don't work. I just want to work out some real CCNA exam problems to be sure that I am in fact ready. The only thing that scares me is the simulation part.
Re: CCNA 640-802 Exam
hi guys ^^ how much time (days) you would suggest for someone new to CCNA who is going to prepare for an exam/certification, is 2 months (3 hours/day) good enough, this is a self based study.

Re: CCNA 640-802 Exam
^ The technology does not remain the same forever. The new one comes along in the blink of an eye. You cant stay competent with your knowledge of the machinary used 20 years ago. So you knowledge or certification in other words expires and to remain in the industry, you have to keep upgrading your knowledge and have the proof of your competence in the form of certificates as well.
