So it’s 7:30 AM on 9-11-2001, Mark Altman is ready for the office, he works in tower 1 at the WTC. He kisses his wife and heads out for work. Instead of work, he goes to his girl friends house, he’s been having this affair for months. He gets to her apartment, turns off his cell phone, his pager, gets undressed, they make love all morning.
Finally around 11:00 AM, he decides that he should go to work. He gets dressed, is about to leave, turns on his pager, it immediately starts beeping, it’s his wife, so he turns on his cell phone to call her, as soon as he turns it on, it starts ringing, it’s his wife, he answers the phone…
“WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW WORRIED I’VE BEEN???”
Poor Mark, he says “Why honey, I’ve been right here at the office, what’s up?”
