describe what kind of topics are general forum appropriate? it seems like general topics are usually those which are started by some specific members only.
Try not to open a new thread if a similar topic has been previously discussed.
it is kinda impossible to do that since there are numerous topics that have been discussed over n over again 2 years ago or recently. do u want us to do gupshup search first before posting a thread? time consuming isnt it?
Personal insults should be avoided completely, else you will face the consequences. We wouldn’t want to bring an end to a perfectly good discussion.

It seems you missed this 'important' line Suroor, "With the wave of threads in General forum regarding Current Affairs". If it wasn't for this recent trend, I wouldn't have posted those guidelines.
The rest are rules applicable to any forum on this website. Use your discretion and intelligence. :)
Well its rather simple. People don't post in WA because they would get their asses kicked back to second grade. They post here because their clique is around to back their idiotic notions.
If it is current events or anything to do with politics, it doesn't go here. What does go here is NYA getting a toothache or FG eloping with martha stewart.

I opened two threads here in general that eventually got booted to WA. Now first of all I dont post there, but thats not why I put those threads here instead. The reason I put them here was to get general input on the siuation rather than discuss the details of the incident and such. I wanted opinions and stuff I didnt want a WA type of discussion. But I didnt mind it being moved. I however, still think that my last thread that got moved was more suited for a more general discussion.
And the other issue I have is of personal insults. Action will be taken ? Since when? I can look up a hundred insults for today that are STILL around and nothing was done about them. So thats silly, nothing new with that.
New announcments are fine and dandy, what i want to see is them being put into action. Shurkan my dearies.
You are afraid of WA that is all :p What you can't get opinions and such in WA? Ok....well you can get opinions.....them being logical and sane though is another question :p

It’s just the content of discussion. WA should be for governments, countries, policies etc. General should be about how the average person feels about the world affairs (London bombing) etc. For example a general opinion based thread should stay here.

What do you mean manage to sneak in? This is their stable! If the average person wants to discuss world affairs he can go to the same named forum. WA is not limited to politics. After all we got very average people posting in WA. That should help. Lastly you never make sense so why should you start doing so now :o
