First of all, I’m glad you decided to visit back pakistan which is ofcourse our country in the end so congrats. I’d like a bay area resident comment on the best option from san francisco but I’d say for next august, you should look around january and dont go for one airline only just shop around and compare prices. you can goto individual websites or may contact a travel agent who can do the same for you. They have softwares which bring the lowest price. You can try now as well but i would do that in jan if i were u.

Regarding Cathay pacific, I remember travelling from it in 98/99 from khi to hongkong and it was awesome. Not sure about its standard currentlly.

Cathay Pacific is one of the best and one of the leading airlines and hence the fares are higher than others.
