catering (toronto)

looking for suggestions discussions for caterers in toronto…as we all know it is the most important thing! this is the one thing i wont compromise on

we are trying host (never eaten there before) and tried silver spoon (although apparently it wasnt the original/actual location) and intend to try the other (better?) silver spoon…kara mia (halal italian) has been thrown around as an option but not sure if we are adventurous enough to break the mold

we are at paradise banquet hall and their preferred vendor for south asian is host

any consensus on a top couple of caterers? or other good (or bad, to stay away from) experiences

Re: catering (toronto)

Try ‘Gerrard Street’. Apparently things aren’t going so well for people down there. Maybe they will give you a good deal! :salute:

Re: catering (toronto)

^so broad lol...any particular place there you recommend?

Re: catering (toronto)

Ahah! Sorry i couldn’t go into any further detail, the last time (and only time) i was there was in the year 2000. I think there’s a few other members from Toronto, hopefully they can help you. :mudhosh:

Try Shaheen food centre and barbeque tonite. Both are in Mississauga and offer excellent food. My sister's and my dholkis and mayun's khana was catered by Shaheen's and everyone kept raving about the food for weeks.
So yeah, definitely recommended!

Re: catering (toronto)

Went to a wedding recently, silver spoon catered one of their event, and it was really good!!

Re: catering (toronto)

thank you so much! ive heard the name a few times and it was also referred by a friend of my dad...we'll definitely be checking them out

Re: catering (toronto)

silver spoon seems to always be in the conversation as well!

at least ive narrowed things down a bit

Re: catering (toronto)

Try Karahi Point! I had catering done by them for a company lunch--great food.
