Hi everyone,
We are thinking of booking a community centre room for the mehndi, but we need to find good caterers with cheap rates (under $10/head)…preferably like $7-$8/head.
The thing is the cost of the community centre room is much higher than we expected, so if the catering isn’t cheap, it’s not even worth it to do it in a community centre as the whole point was to save a bit of money.
Please let me know if you know of any cheap caterers in Mississauga or surrounding area. Off course, we are not just concerned about price, we want the food to be good as well…thanks guys!

How about Silver spoon....I know a lot of people have gotten catered by them. I'm not completely sure about how cheap they are....but their food is good.
P.S. It's hard to get good food for cheap though. Especially since it's usually the food that people remember. I'm not sure wat food you'll get really for $7-$10 per head. But good luck none the less.

Chauhan in markham that has its own banquet hall/space attached and they rent it out and cater your affair for one price. i remember looking at it a while back and it was nicer than a community hall for sure. plus they provide linens, tables and chairs, and cutlery/glassware/dishware in that price, which i'm guessing you'd have to rent additionally in a community hall.
quite a few people i know have had mehendi's there.
I had my dholki function at Chauhan and it's quite decent in terms of service and food. I think we paid about $22/person for the hall, decor and the food.

Many women cater from their homes and the food is quite decent. You can get a good rate from them, ask around or at your local Indian/ Pakistani grocery store (s).

Tabaq is good...... its in mississauga.... not sure about the rates... my cousin's whole shaadi's catering was done from them and it was great!!!.... it is very reasonable!!!
and ya our all grand home dawats are done from there..... they are very nice ppl!!!

im doing my mendhi in a condo hall. The rental cost of the hall is about 100 or 200 (not sure) and im going to serve simple traditional foods... not necessarily for cost-savings purpose, its just the way my family has always been doing the mendhi. We serve haleem, samosas, kebabs, dokra, ladoo, and ghatia. I think this is going to cost us a total of 350 for 100 people.
So what i am tring to say is if you don't want to do an over-the-top mendhi, serve some traditional simple food. People even appreciate this since its annoying to have bhiriyani and butter chicken at all of the wedding events!!!!

I know a lady who did catering for my nikah n mehndi. I would say I really really like her food, and all the guests even thought it was great. And I think she was charging like $7 per head. And yeah she's located in sauga, will get her contact info from my mom later today and get back to you!
