I think we all have been hard on the team for slacking and dropping and giving away runs and matches for their poor catching etc.
3 great catches in the first Aussie innings need to be appreciated.
First one - Bhanja Faisal took a tough low catch at second slip to get rid of Hughes
Second one - Gul taking ponting with a front diving catch at deep square leg
Third one of Misbah’s taking a high sideways running chest high catch of Hussey at backward shortleg..
Good job - keep up the good fielding…

yep - pleansantly surprised to see the improvement in catching in the first innings. Hopefully they can continue it throughout the series and beyond - inshaAllah.

They need to keep their heads down and keep working hard…Pak can shake the age old demons and stigmas of being a bad fielding side out if they want to …why let the psyche stuff ruin your chances?..
Don’t let it get to your head and work hard like a pro every day. When you are down, lift yourself up and start again. No worries.

Watching them drop simple catches it was nice to see them hold on to these catches. Looks like Waqar's hard work is paying off both in bowling and fielding. :)
Aamir's pace has picked a bit, only worry is Gul's performance. I wonder if Waqar can do something to get Gul back in rythem.
Our catching has been so pathetic lately that we are now marvelling at these simple catches. Any reasonable fielder even at a club level would take these 9 out of 10 times.
Relieved to see that these werent dropped. No excellence here... this is expected stuff. Glad they didnt look like clowns in the field for a change.

The catch that Gul took was definitely worth appreciating but Faisal and Misbah's were not as much. Antumul probably mentioned these catches because commentators made them look difficult :D

Well, true that Aussies praised them. But seriously, excellence doesn't mean "supremacy" in any way.
I agree most teams that work hard in fielding take these catches. But then are considered excellent.
Aussies in general (this match has been terrible for them - they dropped quite a few as well) and Saffies are the world beaters in fielding. I would call them supreme on most days.
Now as we talk of the good ones, we should not forget about the missed chances in this 2nd inning.
1.Kaneria's butterfinger drop. - Very costly watson went on to make 97 again.
2. Akmals misses.
3. Tough miss from Kaneria when the ball bounced of I think faisal's leg.
