Friendly fire tank blast kills two

From correspondents in Iraq
26mar03

TWO British tank crew have been killed in Iraq after they were fired on by comrades in another British tank.

now that u've completed it.. it just had 8 UK and 4 US before.

we already have a Iraq Body Count thread . but guess this one will serve as the one for Coalition Forces..

These guyz are killing themselves like crazy. They dont even need Saddam’s forces to do that.

:hehe:

Just saw on Global Channel, 15 rambos being removed from a plane in Germany on stretchers. Also reports Rep Guards and Special Rep Guards digging in for a real serious showdown.

Now funnny part, they showed Rummy before the war started saying it will be over in few days and then they showed him today saying err err err I don’t know how long its gona last… :hehe:

Yes, I recall that. Rummy is a joke.

37 Marines injured in ‘friendly fire’

Command post reportedly hit
by mortars, shells in south
U.S. Marines care for their wounded while being pinned down by enemy fire Sunday in the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah. The Marines have suffered a number of deaths and casualties during battles throughout the city.

NBC NEWS AND NEWS SERVICES

March 27 — U.S. Marines mistakenly fired on one of their command posts in southern Iraq, injuring 37 Marines, three of them critically, a Western correspondent with the troops reported Thursday.

25 Marines From Lejeune Missing, Wounded
Thu Mar 27,12:02 PM ET

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Eleven Marines from the 2nd Expeditionary Force were listed as missing within the past 24 hours and 14 as wounded in action, Camp Lejeune officials said Thursday.

No names of missing or wounded soldiers were released, nor would officials provide details

Some Indian newspaper (probably Hindustan Times) reported that so far 200 coalition soldiers have been killed. Need to dig out the link. But its proly exagerrated as it sourced to some Iraqi. Must be close to 100 anyway. We hear all kinds of "intense" fights, "fierce firefight", "stiff resistance", and miraculously only Iraqi casualties are mentioned in CNN etc. Can't be real. I am sure they are hiding real casualities of coalition.

Plus they are so many amazing mistakes being done. Like the two marines who drowned in the Saddam Canal while trying to cross it in full camouflage gear without a protective line. British tanks firing at each other. US F-16 firing at Patriot missile battery and Patriots downing UK fighter planes. Marines firing on their own command post. Unless they are all firing rubber bullets or are acting out in the movies, there gotta be more than 53 deaths which they have acknowledged.

In a war the first casulty is the truth.. so if they are saying 53 of their rambos wee killed use your own judgement..

Here’s a couple you missed;

Drowned Marines in full gear
http://www.washtimes.com/national/20030327-73728048.htm

Here’s 700 more;

Over 700 US, British troops killed in Iraq
http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/181_222566,00050004.htm

The truth is somewhere between 53 and 700’ish.

Seems obvious to me. Iraqi's don't want U.S. there.

I thought they might.

I was wrong.

I want my countrymen home tomorrow.

Perhaps it true that Saddam doesn't shoot people that disagree.

Nah he only shoots invaders.

From what I heard is that he was a secular before the gulfwar, after the gulfwar he decided to go on the right path. The guy rebuilded Iraq, wrote 'Allah o Akbar' in the flag... which shows he wants to be Islamic.

Anyways, I just hope these kuffars get crused and remember guys, if muslims win this war, Islamic world will benefit from this dramatically and USA's image in other eyes would be dramatically low.

Friendly fire ‘kills fifth UK soldier’

An A-10 tankbuster is reported to have fired on two armoured vehicles
A UK soldier is reported to have been killed and others injured in a “friendly fire” incident in southern Iraq.
The soldier would be the fifth member of the UK forces killed by coalition colleagues since the start of the war in Iraq.

Reports say he died after an American A-10 tankbuster plane targeted two armoured vehicles near Basra on Friday.

Two other soldiers were reported as badly injured with three more described as “walking wounded”.

A Ministry of Defence spokeswoman said: “We can confirm we are investigating an incident involving possible friendly fire as a matter of urgency.”

Fierce fighting

The unit involved has not been named, as authorities tried to contact the men’s next of kin.

News of the incident emerged hours after Britain’s most senior army chief said a “showdown” with Iraqi units in Baghdad loyal to Saddam Hussein is “not too far away”.
