^the equivalent of village level abuses/violence against lower-castes won't be found in pakistan....however, the general effect and undertones that the caste system has in society and general indian affairs has an operational equivalent (that is actually stronger) in the pakistani class and subcaste system.
of course there are plenty of other forms of discrimination found in pakistan (and india too)....which begs the question - what makes one form of discrimination worse than the other? how is this quantified?
i don't think there's any real answer....same tatti, different pile...glass houses...blah blah.
