Syeds are considered the Elite as the are from the Prophet (PBUH) lineage.
Jatt and Gujjars both use the suffix Chaudhary - yes Chaudhary is not a zaat in itself - both hate each other, but if they’ve to marry someone outside their caste, they tend to be alright with each other.
Raja and Rana’s think they are royal blood. A tale I once heard was that Raja’s (or maybe it was Rana?) were suppose to be the illegit children of the mughal emperor.
