Although I agree the survey is biased towards opinions from middle class urban population but the instrument is not like you score out of 100%.

They ask all respondents if they favorably or unfavorably view Mr. A, Mr. B, Mr. C.... and so forth. It is possible that a person who favorably views IK, also has positive impression of NS and also for Zardari. The percentages do not have to add up to 100%. It just says that out of all people asked the questions, 70% had positive impression of IK. It is possible that many out of these people also have favorable view of NS or Zardari.

The favorable% + unfavorable% + neutral% + no response% for EACH politician would equal 100%.

How does my patriotism come in to question if I give a personal opinion that PPP will lose badly in Punjab. PPP is just a political party.. how come if they are voted out in Punjab because of their performance-failure of governance is equated to playing with fire.

I live in Punjab.. I am watching the mood on ground in Punjab. I am not very well aware of the situation in Sind-Gilgit Baltistan or KP/Baluchistan. Here in Punjab we are facing a discriminatory load shedding up to 12-22 hours per day. Our economy is being destroyed... Millions have lost their jobs. If people vote out the culprits who are responsible for all these happenings.. how this will cause the disintegration of Pakistan.

We are sick of these black mailing tactics by PPP sympathizers that if we don't vote for PPP it will cause disintegration of Pakistan. At least I will never vote under this black mailing pressure which gives an open license to PPP leadership to loot and plunder the country.. without giving any sensible governance.. and without showing any performance.. just a blackmail that if you don't vote for PPP they will engineer the disintegration of Pakistan.

Shame on this mentality and blackmail..

I stand behind my personal opinion/analysis that PPP will lose big time in Punjab in the next election.

^ They wont get seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well, as far as Balochistan is concerned (traditionally PPP wins only 3-4 seats there) which they might win if the people are happy with the law and order situation there. What he doesnt realize is that the nationalists didnt participate in the previous elections and then by horse trading PPP formed their government there, plus there was a sympathy vote last time. What performance has PPP shown in Balochistan that their symphatizers still believe that they will win seats there? The CM of Balochistan stays in Islamabad for 95 % of the time.This time no sympathy vote plus bad performance hence recipe for disaster (for PPP).

PPP will not lose badly in Punjab unless some illegal maneuvering is done as it was done in past where N$ won 100% seats and claimed heavy mandate. It is not your patriotism with the country, it is just your selfish wish, which I hope will never come true. It will harm Punjab more than any other province of Pakistan. It is just a faulty thinking.

How it is easy to blame all nonsense to PPP government. Perhaps you don’t know that Punjab is still ruled by shere-punjab, show baz and N$. According to your new pir murshid, international play boy says that it is the Punjab government which is responsible for load shading and you are blaming all evils to PPP. Why?

Now that is a very nice point!

Looks like Nawaz Sharif's Punjab card is working once again. Even when people who know the reality of NS and his gang, and even when they believe in IK wholeheartedly; but when NS raises provincial hatred, they believe NS instead of IK.

PMLN might be deliberately making people suffer by making power crisis go from bad to worse in the province. Thus making people believe that it is only PMLN who cares for Punjabis.

This is dangerous strategy from PMLN. But it will do anything to get to power.

i'll say that due to 18th amendment power and other commodities will be given to those provinces which produce them, so that aspect is correct. Punjab has surrendered its share, on the other side Punjab wants to produce its own electricity to reduce the loadhsedding in the province and that needs soverign guarantees from the federal govt and they are sitting on it for the past three years. So Punjab cannot produce power, and their share has been reduced.

PMLN people were leading the violent protests all across the province. They attacked houses of PPP wallahs, and they even burned a railway engine.
