THE TUG of war between players and West Indian Cricket Board over contract and payment has finally been resolved. The issue was settled after a three day long marathon meeting between players’ representative Dinanath Ramnaraine and WICB chief Julian Hunte.
The three month old issue saw many ups and downs with the warring factions holding each other responsible for the standoff. During the cold war none of the faction showed leniency and WICB had to field second string team not only in the home series but also in the prestigious Champions Trophy.
