okay here we go again, I wanted to know the adventageous/dis of hiring caregivers at home. What are they charging in senior day care and also at home, what is the sum of diff they pay them. If any of u know this then, plz let me know. And also let me know if anyone is looking for em in ontario. Thanx

Hahahaha for a second I was wondering if I had forgotten the meaning of caregivers :).
I am moving this topic to the family forum-probably more appropriate there.
Pros for caregivers:
Gives you time to do your work/stuff
Gives you a break from day to day routine
May be experienced in teaching kids better then yoursel
Cons:
The kid has more contact with the caregiver then you (assumes the caregiver is the primary care taker of the kid)
The caregiver may not be as considerate with the kid as you would as their primary motivation is the money
The caregiver may teach your kid stuff that you wouldnt
The caregiver may be abusive
