Carefree plants

Does anybody here have a green thumb? I want to make the front of our house look a bit nicer by planting some perennials that are easy to grow and don’t need that much attention from me.
I tell you i’ve bought 3 or 4 perennials and as soon as I get them home they die on me within a year :bummer:. I don’t know what I do to them but i watered them daily and fed them plant food but still they died:grumpy:.

Oh well, so now i’m wondering which perennials do you all have that stay alive?HELP!:help:

Re: Carefree plants

momosa - touch me not plant is good, if you can plant it where you are.
small indoor flowering shrubs need less care - just water once a week or so, take out yellow leaves

Re: Carefree plants

^ jasmine are an excellent choice, they're reletively carefree and they smell lovely when blooming.

Re: Carefree plants

I did have jasmine but it also went into the plant graveyard:bummer:. Which kind of Jasmine is yours? I live in zone 7 so the winters do get cold here but there is no snow. Mine was star jasmine and I was told by the nursery that it would survive the winter:(
