it's just that ppl who post in C&A for the first time sometimes expect a barrage of quick responses like the other forums which isn't the case since this section only attracts serious responses and the mods deliberately try to keep it that way.

I am working in Dubai and also related to commerce field (Accounts) and as for as my experience is concerned the job oppurtunities are there but than it all depends upon ur qualifications/ job experience.

ok pardon my language but why the hell r u being so rude???? i dont feel comfortable telling everyone abt things. i did want to get just a basic idea as none of u could find me a job or anything like that (nor was i expecting that) so there was no point in telling all the details. regardless, for the ones that really wanted to share thier views and opinions, i have pmed them and gotten a good enough answer. so instead of criticizing and making assumptions like im nt serious, u should consult with me, if anything.

umar bhai, how about u let me know the career opportunities in dubai if one has a college diploma in accounting ?... im just curious to know...though ill be goin to univ soon to transfer my college diploma into a degree... possibly an accounting designation such as CPA , CMA or CA... but as of now im just curious to know what opportunities one can expect in dubai with accounting diploma?

Majority of the jobs available are construction and real estate related. However there are some good openings in the Banking sector as well but mostly is mid/high level.

The C&A forum is not as mainstream as some of the other GS forums but the ppl who participate here are generally extremely helpful - as long as you specify what type of help you need.
Commerce didn't really help... neither did listing all the possible Commerce related fields.
Tell us what degree you have, what concentration/major, type/level of work experience, level of work being sought etc.
This forum will give you a platform to talk about specific things... for other general things you always have google.
