So im an undergraduate student in karachi …i have completed 2nd year of BS in sociology .i wanted to transfer in mass communication but i didnt know when the addmissions came and closed. so now i have 2 alternatives.either to continue my degree in sociology or do MA in linguistics .i want u guys help plz …Should i continue sociology and get four year Bachelors degree or do MA in linguistics would it be sufficiant to do major in linguistics ? ALSO i want to do my masters in journalism abroad so i might apply abroad in journalism after my four year bachelors OR MA … wht do u guys suggest ?

*why would you redo a bachelors degree which you already have and why to go into journalism after your masters? why can't you go into journalism now? i would suggest you do masters and then PhD and that will give you some leverage in finding a research/teaching position. you may also try to work as a counselor. *

Hey im doing BS so its 4 years ...i have completed 2 years and my uni also grant BA degree after 2 years .u can either continue it for 4 years or take a BA degree after 2 years.... but after BA i have to do MA .so i would do it in linguistics.u see i dont want to do teaching all my life.i want to be a journalist.... & i had a dream to do my masters in journalism from abroad.. so thats y i want to do it after my BS in sociology OR my Masters in linguistics....i really wanna learn it the way west does...i think i wanna know how things work in a uni abroad & also know journalism...im just really confused right now ....tell me if i should complete my BS or do masters in linguistics ??????????

3rd alternative is to take a year off, do freelance writing. Internship erc and then go for the mass communication program next year.
