Car Rentals in Karachi

I understand that it is possible. However, is it too Risky? For folks like me who’re used to driving in Amreeka, is it too chaotic to take a chance? Also, is theft a big worry? Is it better to hire a driver with the car? Cost wise, is it better to just use Taxis?

Re: Car Rentals in Karachi

If you are not used to driving in Pakistan (or Karachi), and are not familiar with the streets then its probably not worth it to drive around yourself, during a short visit. There are car rental companies in Karachi, including Hertz and Waljis (part of Avis network). The rates are inclusive of drivers and can be pricey (rs 1000+ per day, maybe?). If you only have to go short distances a few times, then taxis will be cheaper.
