Car Info

Can anyone from “overseas” (anywhere OTHER than USA) tell me…

what is the cost for a Lexus 460L where you are located? And where are you located?

I need info on this particular model.

Thank you so much for your help

Re: Car Info

Why not just look online?
or call a dealer?

Re: Car Info

What are you exactly looking for? A relative put their name down for a 2007 460 i can give you those details. Its not the L. I can help if thats close to what you want.

Re: Car Info

Here in the UAE the 460L is not even available (at least officially).

Re: Car Info

Toyota - lexus, whats the difference, its still a toyota…:omg: that is what de niro has glorified in his movie. Seriously speaking, what innovative technology has lexus really come out with, in all its years of production, that is a milestone ahead of Mercedes or BMW…??? Nothing. Lexus is just a cheap imitation of Mercedes, there is just no denial.

The only luxury brand that has really come out with good innovations & giving lexus a run for their money is Infiniti, which is totally original & in every way beautiful & real. For all those who don’t know, Nissan has a history of racing & it has more heritage than toyota. If Nissan Renault merger goes ahead with an american car maker, that is currently under review, they will be the biggest car manufacturer on Earth, even surpassing ****ty toyota.

Mercedes & BMW are already researching on technology on their cars, perfecting them, every year, they just keep getting better & better. Lexus is for people who want a cheaper Mercedes.

Re: Car Info

^ Judging by your rant, it would be fair to say you're disillusioned.

What great innovation has Mercedes brought forth in the latest S-Class? The germans have failed to bring any real innovation to the market. Lexus, on the other hand has innovated with it's entire line. It can even be argued toyota, yes even toyota has innovated more than Mercedes.

Lexus has introduced the hybrid engine to numerous models. Toyota has also. Lexus has also introduced parallel parking, mind you, it's automatic parallel parking. Toyota offers it as an option on the new corolla. When you ask me what innovations the LS460L has, i'd mention the availability of a Hybrid Engine and Automatic Parallel Parking - both systems that work. I admit, the great safety demonstration on german tv dont do the S-Class enough justice. Especially when it did such a good job failing.

If you're awed by redesigned lights, and enflamed fenders - the 7 series and S class provide you with plenty of cosmetic improvements. But the cars themself have no innovation. Perhaps you're mistaking what innovation means. To innovate, means to develop something new. The last german generations, in all honesty have not provided any innovation beyond revamped guis and knobs. If thats what appeals to you, by all means advocate german engineering. There is no doubt the 5 year old iDrive system is the sexiest piece of engineering by BMW. Aslong as you dont touch it.

While the germans rely on decade old brand status to sell their cars, the japanese are eagerly introducing new innovations to catch up. The Japanese, as a BUSINESS MODEL have introduced innovative products. In this segment of the market, newcomers like Lexus are feverishly innovating to draw customers through technological innovations. In the same time, Mercedes and BMW have gotten away with focusing on radical design changes and minor cosmetic changes.

Re: Car Info

Toyota lexus, is just another ripoff, any given day of the year. All the technology is imitated, from Merc & BM, not a single piece of tech is theirs…Merc came out with parking sensors, BM introduced xenon, Merc has distronic, tons of safety features both on BM & Merc, that Lexus has imitated. IDrive will improve & it has certainly, Merc has a prototype of an S class with F 16 technology known as drive by wire, known as fly by wire in the F16…!!! They are researching on that baby, & probably they might even introduce it one day its perfected. Merc & BM both have a racing heritage & history even before the CEO of toyota lexus was even born…!!!

Here are just some of the new features.

A drastic improvement in the new cruise control that will soon be imitated by Toyota Lexus

Here’s a test drive

And so rightly put by Jeremy clarkson. Here are the technology innovations that will soon be imitated by Corolla Lexus…till then, you can enjoy the toyota camry lexus, while Mercedes leads the way.

Re: Car Info

Mamaof3 - As you probably know that the base price in US for 460 & 460L is $61k and 71k respectively. A 460L maxed out with all the options is around $87k here.

Based on my memory from readings at lexus forums, the price in Europe is about 30% more. In Japan the price ranges from $65k-$85k. In Taiwan the 460L is ~$100k. In the middle east its between $75-$85k.
Price in Canada starts at $86k and I don't think they have the LWB model available.

If you don't mind sharing, I'd like to know why you ask? Are you considering buying one?

EDIT: Please note that these are not official price figures. They are just from what I heard from various forum members.

Re: Car Info

mal1k

the proposed merger with GM fell thru from what I understand, and I think its good right now. The issues outweigh the benefits, GM needs to get its house in order first I think.

Re: Car Info

Your right bro...I was thinking if Diamler & Chrysler can produce a good merger, perhaps even this could. Carlos Ghosn has done magic with the company. Do you know, he was being offered a killer salary from Ford, but he refused & chose to stick with Nissan. He went on to bring Nissan from near bankruptcy to a company that's listed no.40 on Forbes. He has revived Renault, & if he sticks around for a few more years, we will see Nissan outrun toyota.

Re: Car Info

Oh & the Merc won an award for being an enviornmental friendly car...it beat the toyota hybrid whatever.

Re: Car Info

topic was price of 460L
here in UK 460 is not available, however closer version LS430 starts from 30K GBP to 40KGBP for top notch spec model. and it looses value like... 50% in a year and 75% in 2-3 years. about 90% in 5 years.

other model GS and IS are more successfull in UK compared to LS series. IS holds value and its a good car than its rival 3 series from BMW.
