Car bomb blast in N Ireland

**A number of families have been moved from their homes in Northern Ireland after reports of an explosion near an Army base at Holywood, County Down.**Police and the fire service are at the scene.

Local people say they heard a large bang just after midnight. There are no reports so far of any injuries.

The blast seems to have been timed to coincide with the precise moment that policing and justice powers devolved from Westminster to Stormont.
