Can't Sleep!

ppl, i m facing a problem for some time …nd the problem is that i cant sleep properly in the night …i normally go to sleep round about 2am but despite my all sincere attempts :slight_smile: , i cant not fall asleep…i dont know why …its some kind of sleep disorder or what but this is taking toll on me coz i cant do nything through out the day with much attention …
can any one of u suggest me anything which might be helpful in eradicating this bug…

m i suffering from insomnia :( i watched this movie last night in which Alpacino(btwwhy there is no 'h' in Alpacino) was suffering from the same kind of bug..

try changing ur sleeping schedule. wake up early in the morning. work out a bit.

GS, i do have this knack to recite few verses every night before going to sleep but this problem has started a few weeks back and is getting on my nerves now..

but yes , i m trying to change my schedule but its not the easiest thing to do :( i hope , some way or other , i can get rid of this irritating problem ..

Get new sheets, stop having anything caffeinated, and eat regularly. Before you go to bed turn on Buddha Bar, take a bath (with salts), have a warm glass of milk, fluff your pillows, and find something boring to read.

I recently watched a programme about sleep and it was really interesting... its all about programming your body and mind...

If you have something on your mind... some problem.. then thats one reason why you cant sleep...

what you should you...

when you go to sleep... if you're still lying awake after 1/2 hour then get up and do so small activity.. even if its walking round the house. for 5-10 mins...

apparently you shouldnt lie awake in bed for hours... your mind accepts that its ok to be lying in bed and be awake so its harder to switch off... you need to programme your mind to associate bed with sleep...

You also need to wake up early... if you sleep at 2am and wake up at 2pm... then you're not going to sleep at 10pm... you need to be up early to be able to sleep early...

the caffeine thing... comfort... noise... etc etc

i just want to inquire whether sitting b4 the computer for long hours b4 i go to sleep could be reason for this problem ?
