can't sleep... too many worries

when

medically, emotionally, spirtuall, economically and intellectually… we, as young people, are inert and down & out for weeks,

how can we snap out of depression / frustration, lack of direction and hopelessness.

plz discuss, each to his/her “own” [triumphant experiences].

Re: can’t sleep… too many worries

how did i deal with these stressfull depressive stage as i was teenager?

-crying a lot to feel better emotionally
-eating healthy diet, doing exercise and taking vitamins to feel better medicaly
-praying and meditation in the nature to feel better spiritually
-working during summer to feel better economically
hopelessness is a feeling that is not easy to get rid of but my boyfriend has the best saying : “time is cure for everything” ! i know sooner or later you’ll feel better Dushwari :hugz: don’t ask yourself “how?” but it will happen;)

Re: can't sleep... too many worries

u can see the best of times with immense clarity if you've seen the worst of em, so they say.

do things that make u smile, even if that means looking for happiness/pleasure in otherwise small, insignificant things, think of how you'd like ur life to be - say by the next year, and take steps into making that possible, don't fear the consequences, just do what u feel u must, and leave the rest to whatever it is you have faith in. turn to music, it will help you understand your pain, maybe cherish it too. do what you believe is your good deed for the day but only if u have a strong inclination to do so, it might help u relax. pain can sometimes make you feel beautiful, so smile. it's never too late. u can still breathe and your two hands and two feet are as functional as your brain. : /

Re: can't sleep... too many worries

cry ur heart out for a while, but not foreva.
do things tat make u smile/laugh, talk to someone funny, watch comedies etc .... send positive signals to urself mentally, physically.

look at little pleasures and blessings in ur life, pray and thank the creator for all da things u have and neva asked for. u'll feel better in no time.

life is but a long journey and as journeys go, we've to encounter our share of humps and bumps.

Re: can't sleep... too many worries

Recently I have been dancing when I feel down. I will just get up infront of a mirror, without music, and start dancing. Always makes me laugh out loud because I look like a total dork. But I dont stop there. I keep doing it for awhile and it puts me in a good mood, and voila, then I can continue with business as usual. Essentially I am doing something that makes me laugh, and laughing is good because it releases certain hormones, blah blah. You get the idea. smile

These are apart from the things that other people have already listed.

Re: can't sleep... too many worries

^^ i like dancing to reilive tensions too, but not for a laugh, rather for muscle stretching and exercise
