i have lost over $18,000 after doing favors to many friends...well i thought they were friends. but then i'm hardly right anyways.

Is it hard for you to say no to someone. You end up being bothered and in difficult situation because of this habit. Why can't you say no ?
If someone(friend) needs help so i Cant sya NO!,
But I can say NO! uss baat pe jis ka Jawab "haan" main ho :D.
Depend b karta hia situations pe k app kis ko kis baat pe NO bol rahey hen...I some times end up in a difficult situation but cant do anything...so I say "NO" ...

Always wanted to help before, found it hard to say no.
Now i can say NO to ppl who have made me regret my yes in the past.
I am in same boat . I lost 6000 dollars co-signing a car loan for a friend who never paid it off. Then I kept on helping another childhood friend who needed money to pay rent , buy groceries etc. all in all about 8000 dollars. Then I found out that he has become alcoholic that is why he could not hold any jobs and could not live a normal life. 
I have no hope of ever recovering this money.

mirch I was like you, I changed a little working on the store. I can say like NOO NOOO like that.
But with friends and family, you HAVE to anticipate the situation and drive it before it reaches the leave where they actually ask "Mirch could you blah blah"

My mother used to tell others , "If someone asks you for a loan give them just enough which if they do not pay then you do not regret and the friendship or relationship does not get sour."
Now I have started practicing this creed of hers. When she use to say that to others I did not realize how wise that creed is to live by.
