cant hear sound

few days back there my laptop came twisted upward and damaged.i sent this laptop to a shop for fixing this.next day when i checked it alot of things were replaced from it :(…i feel like crying but thought to let it be…now the problem is i cant hear any sound…i have checked in device manager sound card is installed…but still cant hear anything…why is that ???

Turn up the volume and see if its not mute .

You have to send back the laptop and tell them to put back the remaining pieces .

Check for viruses and update or re-install the driver.
Viruses are known to corrupt the device drivers.

download superantispyware free version from superantispyware.com
From the device manager right click on you sound card , left click update or install whatever you like to do.

also make sure the right device is selected in you sound and audio device properties screen, here is a good reference to do this:

installed new driver it is working perfectly when i opened the speaker ico it was showing that sound is fine…but still cant hear…y y y

There is a wire that goes from sound card to speakers . . . make sure its connected

It might be that the right sound component is not selected so try this:
DriverUpdate.net - Update Drivers for Windows 7, XP, and Vista

If this does not work take your laptop back to the guy who repaired it.

Guys I can guarantee you its not a driver thingy, its a hardware issue.

Two things:

Either the right component is not selected . How to select right component is documented in the document I gave you link for is above.
Something is broken , lose , burnt out inside the laptop. How to fix that take it to the same guy.
