There is a famous saying of some saint when asked about his immense concentration in Namaz.
I assume the following when I do niyaat for a namaz.
I am in front of my Lord.
Jannah is on my right side.
Jahanum is on my left side.
I am standing on a thin rope of pul-siraat.
Malik-ul-Maut is standing behind me, waiting to take out my soul from the body as this is my last prayers.
